Amaryllis Bulb Kit - Cleopatra

Planting Time!
Place the potting soil in a bowl and add warm water until the soil is wet, but not soggy. Fill your birch container half full with the soil, and set the bulb on top of the soil with the roots fanned out. Add the rest of the soil. You want 1/2 to 1/3 of the bulb uncovered above the soil. Firm in the soil and lightly water to set the bulb. Add your moss and any other decor you like. Branches from your yard can look really cool.Let’s Get Growing!
Place your container in a bright, sunny spot (they love 70-80 degrees) and water only when the top inch of soil is dry. It can take a few weeks before the amaryllis begins to grow.Bloom Time!
Once your amaryllis begins to bloom, move the container out of direct sun - a simple step that makes the flowers last longer. As each bloom fades, snip it off close to the stalk to encourage more blooms — and even possibly more stems — to emerge. You may need to turn the container if the tall stalk begins to lean toward the light.
